Advent Day 1 - Advent Season has begun!
Here we go again! Another journey into December. So it is time for our annual Advent calendar blog. It is a good exercise that makes us slow down each day and think about the things we are thankful for.So here is to the advent season!
Yesterday after school, our girls made advent calendars for each other. (in addition to the professional store-bought ones that they both have - full of chocolates). Athea made her's go all the way to day 25. Haidyn ran out of time, so her's only goes up to 16. In a way, it's like her homework. The illustrations take so much time, it is impossible to finish the actual work. I guess she has 16 days before she needs to finish it up. Athea ran out of room on her original page, so she decided to use Haidyn's friend's semi-finished calendar (the friend got bored by number 2), as the other half of her calendar.
They put little surprise pictures for each other under the numbered windows. So NO PEEKING!

The Advent calenders are just fantastic. The art work and creative work is just wonderful.
