The Reynolds Rock Stars.... (This has nothing to do with the bed but I liked the picture.)


Our bed finally came the other day...
It is a big massive bed.. it has 12 drawers and when I stand by the massive thing the mattress hits above my waste.. (I am tall remember) but... it does have 12 drawers...

We had the bed made by a carpenter here in NZ but did not give great specs.. Since our room is small we wanted a queensize captain like bed with drawers under it to save space...
Well that is what we got. But it IS just pretty damn high.. woo wee.

The wood was salvaged from a ship that was decomissioned.. and the bed IS really pretty.. ALL our clothes now have a resting spot that is not a suitcase.. with room to spare..


Our Sleeping Beauties not in our new bed... (they can no longer climb into our massive bed.. it is over their heads.. hmmmm, the height may be OK after all.. well as long as my girls never get on and fall off that is... hmmmm =)

Here are some pix for you to enjoy.. (thanks to L and J and the fact the I finally found the cords for the computer!)
We are getting settled finally.. the beds are set up and the clothes are getting put away...

We are off to Christchurch in the morning for a 3 day adventure on the South island..

Busy Busy Busy!!

Well.. we are in and now you will never hear from us because we are busy doing house projects...... ha ha ha ha - just kidding (well kind of =)

Since we have been in, we have ripped the dog urine smelly carpets out of 3 bedrooms, a hallway and the kids new play house..(the house came with a playhouse.. nice surprise!! =)
We found awesome hardwood floors underneath.. Hooray!!! But now of course these floors need to be sanded and polished before we can actually unpack anything and move in.. (boo =(

The sanding and polishing will be taking place next week Tue, Wed, and Thur... these are days that we need to vacate the house.. boo again =(

I just booked a hotel at Napier an Art Deco inspired town about 5 hours north of here so we can get the visiting grandparents out of the house to see a bit of this island. Hooray!

L and J have been really busy helping us clean and paint. (sadly, that is what happens when you arrive 2 days after the inital move into a house I guess.. good timing on our part! but poor L and J are probably thinking that it was not so good.. =)

My hero, Lloyd has painted 2 bedrooms, 3 closets, the kids new play house and a bit of the bathroom.. Man is he fast and good!!!
Joanne my heroine has cleaned, sorted, loved/watched the girls and weeded the garden.. (Hooray again for us!!!! =)

We lack pictures, I know.. but the printer is still packed and it is our only tool for downloading the images off the computer..

SOOOO I leave you with a semi oldy but oh soooo goody.. =)!!
