Our girl is 8 and she thinks 8 is Great!

Haidyn turned 8 on Sunday.
We had a quiet birthday party for her in the morning when we woke up... and
A big swimming pool birthday bash for her at 4:00pm 18 kids and parents.
My friend Nicola once again made a really cool birthday cake for her shaped like a swimming pool.

Eric got in the water and helped with games... it wore him out...

and since you have not had a post for a bit....
Here are some more camping shots. We camped with some friends by the beach.
Notice the American flag in the back.. it belonged to other Non American campers and had a big picture of Elvis on it.... we are seeing a few more flags around now that we have a new Prez.. :)

On the beach the kids played in and modified big driftwood sculptures that we found.

Just a few moments captured over the past couple weeks.

Puma the cat.. Haidyn needed a picture of her pet for class. So we snapped a few.

Here the girls are dressing up with the Lancaster girls in the beautiful dancing costumes that Aunty Gail sent home with us. These were used by Faith and Erin in their dance shows.

Highlights of a little hike we went on while camping...

First Day of School!

Here is my quick update/excuse for not having a blog posted sooner.. I am still having computer problems out here.. my laptop fan sadly is on the fritz.. it only cools the computer down for a bit and then the whole computer shuts down due to being overheated. My mom thinks it must have a bunch of plastering dust in the fan from when Eric was sanding drywall... I think she it right.. I need to get it fixed, but in the mean time it sure puts a damper on getting pictures downloaded from the camera and loaded onto the blog. (it is really a drag when your computer shuts off right in the middle of a task)

So this late blog posting is compliments of my friend Sarah. She took some pictures of the first day of school and emailed them to me. (Thanks Sarah :)

This is Haidyn's new class. Today was the first day of school. She is lucky this year.. (we hope)
She has 4 really good friends and a lovely (meaning gorgeous) and sweet teacher named Mrs Broadhurst.

This was a "quick pic" before role was called.

Here Sarah captured the class walking to the first welcome back Hui (assembly). I am just so happy that Haidyn looks so happy! HOORAY!
She wrote for her assignment today. I am Haidyn. Animal lover, artistic, happy, funny and friendly..
