July 4th Holiday Weekend Extravaganza!

Choteau Montana - 4th of July 2008!

^ Walking to the parade in our Red, White and Blue digs.

^ Waving the flag = American spirit and lots of parade CANDY!
^ Papa on the band float playing the cymbals!


^ Cousin Logan's John Henry's Float that we helped decorate. Eating at John Henry's after the parade. (John Henry's is a great family restaurant owned by cousin Stacey and family.) Stop by anytime you are travelling though Choteau, MT.
^ Merry on the Merry-go-round.


^ Another big hike. Haidyn wanted to mountain climb "without using trails". So we went straight up a gorge in the North Fork valley of the Teton river in the Rocky Mountains just west of Choteau. "Worst hike ever" she proclaimed at the end. But we got some cool fossils.

We leave for Minnesota today at 2:00. We are really excited to see our Minnesota family and friends but we are really going to miss our Bozeman family. We have had a really great time with each other!

We will have a tough time competing with July 4th Holiday in Choteau, but we sure will try. We are waiting for the 5:16 arrival of your plane. See you soon. Looks like I missed a good time in Choteau. I saw an ad for Willie Nelson coming to the Grand Casino in Hinkley next week and it reminded me of last year's concert.

Ahhh... I miss Choteau. What a great little town. I still remember Reynolds sitting on that float trying to cover his ears after the "Bone Digger" stag.

Hilarious...

Speaking of which. Happy anniversary right???

Great pics, thanks for sharing. Everyone looks great and I didn't realize that Eric was such a fan of Paul Sr. on "American Chopper".

Great to see your pictures of Montana etc. You are such a wonderful family- the girls are getting so big! It is terrific to read that you are with all of your Twin Cities family. Remember that if you are EVER in our area, we would LOVE to see you!
