The US trip so far....
First stop.... Alameda California!! Home Sweet Home!
Donuts! We walked down Park Street and met our old neighbors Bob and Penny at our favorite morning coffee spot "Golden Pin Donuts"
A squirrel!! After donuts we walked to Lincoln Park to meet up with our good friends that we met from Haidyn's Mommies group. Look close. This is another picture Haidyn took, an action shot of a squirrel climbing a tree. (Remember this is exciting because we do not have squirrels in NZ)
Here is some of the old Mom's group gang at Lincoln Park! We had a super awesome turnout for a short notice it was REALLY great to see everyone. (all the kids sure have grown!!)
Here are the girls on our first visit with Great Grandma Olga.
Here is Haidyn playing bounce catch with her new ball at the park. We have been spending most of our time playing with the cousins and hanging out.
Jeb and Athea! Happy cousins and long lost friends!
Cousin Finn at the park swinging....
This morning the kids took a hike up the local mountain with Papa. The wild flowers are out in full bloom and it was stunning!

We would have more if we were better at taking pictures! We will try to work on that.. but so far we found out that we left one of the camera charges at home. Good thing we brought two cameras..
We have not been in Alameda for 2.5 years. It was just so great to be back. The town has actually changed so much over the past years we were really surprised.
A little bit of NZ in California. Haidyn took these two pictures of the Pahutakawa tree she found while we were walking in our old neighborhood.

After the Park outing we walked over to Bob and Penny's new house to have Margueritas, home made salsa and rice balls (yum)! Their new house is big, beautiful and on a nice quiet street. (without buses)

Later Saturday night we were treated to dinner at Jackie, Dawn and Avery's This was so wonderful!! Avery is getting so big! The kids started playing together like we never left.
What a fantastic day!
Next stop... Bozeman Montana - via Seattle Washington.
Another trip that has been really cool! We are staying at Grandma Jo and Papa's house. It is really good to be here!

Since we left Great Grandma Olga has moved close by so we were able to go and visit. She only lives about 5 blocks away.
