Easter Sunday at the Reynolds. Hip Hop the bunny was here.

Today is now Easter Monday.. I started the Easter blog yesterday but with 3 very tired little girls Easter night, I just couldn't finish. After getting them to bed, we all sat and watched Legally Blonde I. A nice way to wind down with a few laughs.

Anyway, Easter morning day started by Eric running through the house calling out "The Easter Bunny was here, the Easter Bunny was here". I think it was about 7 am. =)
Faith (who had crawled into bed with me) flew out of bed jumping on my legs in her rush. The Easter Bunny hid the little girls basket in the livingroom buffets and Matt and Dani had to chase down clues to finally find theirs in the microwave and shoe drawer. Cute little bunny hats, new stuffed bunny bears and kittys, and of course... chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. =)

Haidyn was feeling sick, so ended up going back to bed. A little Tylenol/Motrin boost and she was running around enough that I could take her picture with her new froggy purse.
Then everybody went out in the backyard and searched for eggs. Anna painted the girls faces. Oh she is so talented... Dani got a unicorn and prudence the kitty on her face. Erin got a dolfin and chilly the penguin. (A stuffed Penguin Gramma D gave Athea for her birth). Faith got a flamingo and dolfin. Haidyn got a heart and a flower. Athea got lucy the dog and a heart, but kept touching her face, so she eventually just had a rosey cheek....
All this by 10 am.=)
Time to go to church, but oops, Haidyn threw up. Change of plans. Put her back to bed. (She didn't even eat her candy yet, so we couldn't blame the sweets.. tummy flu hits the house)..

Take the Devery kids across the street to have Easter dress pictures.

Then to the park. Everything is big here in New Zealand, even the slides. Then to the movie, meet the Robinsons. The theater seats are couches and there is assigned seating. We had the back row of 5 rows. The kids get home made icecream. Empire is the name of the theater. Comfy.
Eric stayed home to cook the turkey and watch poor sick Haidyn. (keep in mind, cooking the turkey only meant turning on the oven and sticking the bird in at 2:30pm.. so he actually was able to get a little "downtime" too while we were all away. =)
He did well though.. the Turkey turned out great! so did the dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy. yum yum..
Another action packed day! The kids were in bed by 7:30 and we could then relax and watch a grown-up movie. (well one rated PG at least)
Haidyn continued to be sick through the night, but is feeling better today. Hopefully it doesn't pass on to anyone else.

First Post-Whoo-hoo! It looks like fun was had by all at the Reynolds House. Great painting Anna and you look so pretty in that photo where you are painting.

It was great seeing you all yesterday and we are happy you had fun at the movies. Isn't Anna the best hostess ever?!?!

XOXOX

Wow !! What a way to top off our Easter. We only had five people here for dinner. Your Mom cooked for "twenty" so we have lots of leftovers. I think she missed having the kids over but so happy to see your super day. Feel bad about Haidyn, sure hope she is better and sure don't want the rest of the kids to get it. Gail, thanks for sharing your day with us.

It's the first day back to classes after the Spring Break here at Hillcrest. As a class, we were making some notes about the duration of the break, etc. and how long it would be until we see Dani again. We miss her!

I told the class I would check in to see if there were any updates on the blog later on. Wow! I was so pleasantly surprised by all the postings! There are so many great things to share with the class.

It looks like all of you are having a marvelous time. We'll be sure to check back regularly for further updates. Until then, thanks so much for sharing so much and take care!

Hello again!

Our class just got done looking at the blog for the first time. We had a few questions we would like to ask if you have time to respond.

Alec is curious to know more about the school buildings. Are there bathrooms in each one? (Shelby wants to know if the water in the toilet actually flushes the other way.) Rachel was also wondering if you knew how many total students are at the school.

Sarah wants to know how tall that slide is.

Kole would like to know what Dani got in her Easter basket. (He got a pencil, an eraser, a punching balloon and some candy.)

Navarre would like to know if there are any differences in how people celebrate Easter in New Zealand.

Thanks and have a great day!

Gail says... Boy Chris, you gotta love the 70 degrees one day and 30 the next. Sounds like the Minnesnowta weather they have had while I've been gone. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad Finn is feeling better.
