The Final Product
Here is the final product!
These are some time saving things they "should have" told me when they originally gave me the project to do: 1) We could only use 2 colors plus black. (Remember how colorful the very first version was.)
2) The Fair is not called "Fun Fair" (I second that!)
3) The 2 colors besides black had to be the ones that matched the corporate sponsor's logo.. and they did not know who that was going to be until quite recently.
4) We need to have the kids holding the "Bledisloe Cup". One of the parents managed to get the NZ Rugby Football Union to bring the cup to the fair. (The Bledisloe cup is similiar to the Stanley Cup but for Rugby.. extremely important here in NZ and apparently a huge honor! Also could be a big fair draw =)
There were many more things and I could go on and on... (oh and yes her school is "Worser" Bay that is not a typo. =)
But in the end... Haidyn still got to be the featured artist! Now her art is all over town..
Cool thing for a proud Mama to see.. (even if I had a huge hand into getting her work published =)
The end product is worth all the headaches. Now, just don't let them know who did this fantatic job or you will be stuck with it again next year. Love, Mom
Good work on the art and on bringing the flyer to life. It is a great one despite all the restrictions you had.
One day this flyer will be an old, yellowed memory in Haidyn's artists' book of her very first published artwork.
Congrats Haidyn on your first graphic design job!!!
(Haidyn, now's the time top hit your employer up for a raise:))
