Fasten your seatbelts.. again and again and again and again...
Going to Grandma's house is not "over the river and through the woods" any longer..
There goes plane # 1 on what used to be a short 2 flight trip to visit the family in Bozeman MT.
Now.... it takes one plane to get from Wellington to Auckland NZ, then another to LA in the good ol' USA,
Yet another to Seattle, WA and the final one that heads to Bozeman via Butte MT.
This is a 28 hour airplane journey... add in a missed connection due to the craziness of LA customs and the LAX International airport.. It equals an unexpected overnight at cousin Mary Jo's house in Seattle.. (which is pretty cool! way to turn lemons into lemonade =)
Eventually Eric and all his luggage will get to Bozeman, Montana so he can spend (11-1) days with his folks. This trip is Eric's last turning 40 - birthday gift from his girls in NZ..
It is also a pretty good birthday gift for his mom! Her birthday is on November 5th. Maybe he'll make it there by then... =)

Totally cool. Jesus, man, that's alota plane.
This makes the whiners in my family complaining about the plane, the 1.5 hour boat and the 1.5 hour car to our house just seem like, well, the whiners that they are.
